Erin McGurk is the founder and was a Director, President and CEO of PneumRx, Inc., a medical device company in the pulmonary field. PneumRx, Inc. was acquired by BTG, plc in January 2015, and from April 2015 until September 2016, Erin McGurk transitioned to a part-time Consulting role with the company. Erin currently serves as a Consultant and Advisor for other entrepreneurs / companies and serves as a Board Director for companies in the Medical Industry. Erin McGurk is founder and Managing Director of Magic Venture Capital (MVC), LLC. In addition, she is a founder of PneumRx, Tenaxis Medical, Spinal Concepts, and was the founder and VP of Technology of Micro Interventional Systems (acquired by Medtronic). MVC was a seed investor in such successful companies as Atrionix (acquired by Johnson & Johnson) and Spinal Concepts (acquired by Abbott Labs). Ms. McGurk served on the Board of Directors for both companies and was Chairman of the Board for Vector Medical. Ms. McGurk has held executive positions at Baxter Healthcare (American Hospital Supply / Edwards Laboratories), Cordis, Dow Corning Wright and American Medical Electronics. She is an inventor on numerous issued patents and patent publications. She holds a B.S. degree in biological sciences from California State University, Long Beach and an M.S. degree in mechanical engineering (bioengineering) from University of California, San Diego.
