Dr. Yuji Yamamoto (MSRC Post-Doc Fellow, 2002-2004) was recently awarded a Japanese Orthopaedic Society for Sports Medicine (JOSSM) – USA Traveling Fellowship. Dr. Yamamoto, an Orthopaedic Surgeon and Associate Professor at Hirosaki University Graduate School of Medicine, spent 17 days visiting universities in the US. His first stop was Boston, MA to attend the AOSSM Annual Meeting. From there he and the other traveling fellows spent 3 days each visiting UC Davis Medical Center, Sacramento, CA; University of Pittsburgh Medical Center, Pittsburgh, PA; Andrews Sports Medicine & Orthopaedic Center, Birmingham, AL; and the Hospital for Special Surgery (HSS), New York, NY.
During his visit to Pittsburgh, Yuji was able to visit Dr. Woo and Diann Decenzo at the MSRC. It is always wonderful to see old friends.
