Dr. David Provenzano, a former MSRC student, recently was a co-author on an article on the use of Gadolinium-based contrast agents used as an alternative to iodine-based contrast agents during MRI Examinations. It was found that intrathecal gadolinium poses a serious risk of neurotoxicity, even at small doses.
