Dr. Thay Lee was recently interviewed along with Dr. Scott Rodeo on the American Shoulder and Elbow Surgeons Podcast on the topic of basic science research. Dr. Lee started his career by joining the Department of Veterans Affairs and University of California, Irvine in 1987 and established an Orthopaedic Biomechanics Laboratory based at the VA Long Beach Healthcare System. Dr. Lee held a rank of Professor Step VI and served as the Vice-Chair for Research and Academic Affairs in the Department of Orthopedic Surgery at University of California, Irvine. He also held a title of Senior Research Career Scientist with the Department of Veterans Affairs RR&D which is the highest honor bestowed to a scientist in the VA system. 

After 30 years in Academics, Dr. Lee moved his entire staff and laboratory to Pasadena, California to join Congress Medical Foundation where he currently serves as Chief Scientist and Director of Research.
